To produce civil engineers with high calibre, good quality and high skills in building technology in order to serve the civil engineering community.
- To prepare students to learn beyond the syllabi and texts.
- To train civil engineering students through periodical in-plant training and industrial visits.
- To motivate the students to pursue higher education through competitive examinations.
- To maintain a learner-centered undergraduate environment with emphasis on student mentoring.
To provides undergraduate research facilities, allowing students to work closely with members of the faculty.
The threshold of Civil Engineering Department happened in the year 2010 with an intake of 72 students per batch. Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like bridges, roads, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline after military engineering, and it was defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Municipal or Urban Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Materials Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Surveying, and Construction Engineering. The department has dedicated itself to improve quality education and academic excellence and developing highly skilled engineers. It has well qualified, experienced and dedicated members of faculty. With well equipped laboratories and a computer center, the students are trained for handling practical problems.
