Inter’O’Fest- One day National Level Technical Symposium

The state level technical symposium of Sree Sakthi Engineering College, Karamadai, Coimbatore, titled ‘Inter’O’Fest’ was held on Friday, the 20th of May 2022. Every aspect of the event, from its inception to the execution had been the outcome of the culminated efforts of the faculty and students of the college. The website for the symposium was opened on 15th April‘22 and registrations closed on 16th May’22, in the duration of which an overwhelming response had been observed from participants belonging to over 37 colleges from all over the state. The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honor, the chairman, the correspondent, the Principal of the college and the Head of all the departments. The chief guest for the inauguration, Dr.T.Sekar, Head of Manufacturing Engineering, Department of mechanical-GCT, Coimbatore shared wonderful words of encouragement with the students quoting the need to invest in improving the practical knowledge, how of every engineering student apart from the theoretical knowledge they gain in the course of their study.

The Guest of Honor for the inauguration Dr.Nanjan Balu-Dean School of Management, Kumaraguru college of Liberal Arts and Science, Coimbatore shared his valuable thoughts on how to be gratitude with people. Also present at the inaugural function were the Honorable Chairman N.Dharmalingam, Estimable Correspondent Dr.S.Karthikeyan, Prestigious Principal Dr.R.Prabhu, other honorable dignitaries of the institution. Our chief guest Dr.T.Sekar-Head of Manufacturing Engineering, Department of mechanical-GCT,Coimbatore, honored by our Chairman and our guest of honor, Dr.Nanjan Balu-Dean School of Management, Kumaraguru college of Liberal Arts and Science, Coimbatore honored by our Correspondent .The Chief Guest, the Guest of Honor, The Chairman, The Correspondent, The Principal released the Souvenir which consisted of articles from past and present students, former and present faculty members of the department. The souvenir also included photographs of the various departmental activities through the years

This symposium witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 500+ students in over 15 events that tested their wits and abilities. The following are the events that were organized as part of the symposium Paper/Project Presentation (Common for all departments), Technical quiz.

Civil department organized three non-technical events- Estimate Master, CAD Modeling, Quiz War.Electricals and Electronics Engineering organized three non-technical events-Mad over circuit, Speech Craft, War of Words. Electronics And Communication Engineering organized more than two non-technical events Circuit Debugging, Treasure Hunt, Technical Quiz. Mechanical Engineering conducted three non-technical events CAD Modeller, Mr.Mechanic, Knowledge hunt. Computer Science and Engineering department conducted three non-technical events Smart website, Virtual Reality, Quiz.

During the valedictory function the Correspondent Dr.S.Karthikeyan and the Principal Dr.R.Prabhu distributed the cash prizes and certificates to winners. The Chief Executive Officer Dr.N.Prasannan presented a report on the entire happenings of the day and Ms.Kavitha, Head of the department Science and Humanities, gave the vote of thanks.
