Cultural Exchange

  • Date: 25 January 2025

The day began with the Onam festivities, celebrating Kerala’s vibrant harvest festival. The campus exuded traditional charm with a magnificent Pookkalam (floral carpet) adorning the main entrance, beautifully crafted by students and faculty members together. Both students and staff embraced the festive spirit by wearing traditional Kerala attire—set mundu and kasavu saree—adding authenticity and grace to the occasion.

The cultural events featured Thiruvathira and Kaikottikali performances, Chenda melam (traditional drum ensemble), and fun-filled activities such as payasam-making competitions. A lively procession of King Mahabali, portrayed by a student, captivated everyone’s attention. The celebration culminated in a grand Onam Sadhya, a traditional Kerala feast served on banana leaves, symbolizing unity, joy, and togetherness across the SSEC community.

“A celebration of talent, creativity, and togetherness.”
