Cancer Awareness Programme
Date : 17.05.2024
Venue: Placement Training Hall
SSEC Women's Cell organized Cancer Awareness Programme for all female faculty members in order to empower them to understand and prevent cancer at an early stage. Dr. B. Nandhini, Sree Sakthi Medical Center had been invited as the Resource Person and her speech was really an eye-opener to the audience. She specifically focused on Breast cancer, Ovarian cancer & Cervical cancer recognizing the unique challenges the women pose and the critical need for awareness and action.
Through that spectacular session, the audience got the knowledge about the risk factors that can increase a woman's likelihood of developing cancer, from genetic predisposition to lifestyle choices. And knowledge about the signs and symptoms that should prompt us to seek medical attention without delay.
The session highlighted the point of taking necessary action to prioritize our health and well-being, to advocate for better access to screening and treatment options, and to support one another through every step of the journey. It created the open floor for attendees to ask questions and clarify their doubts. The entire session carried the torch of awareness into our homes, our workplaces, and our communities.
Women gathered in that session not merely as individuals, but as a collective force committed to a cause that touches the lives of countless women around the world – the fight against cancer.
