International Yoga Day
"Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self", says The Bhagavad Gita. It is the art work of awareness on the canvas of body, mind, and soul. This is the great day to remember Yoga's universal message of compassion, mindfulness, unity, embrace diversity and celebrate our shared commitment to a healthier and happier world.
Yoga is more relevant today than ever before, as we navigate through the challenges of modern life – stress, anxiety, and uncertainty. Through regular practice of Yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation, we can achieve physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional balance. It teaches us discipline, patience, resilience, guiding us towards a balanced and peaceful life; it is a journey of self-discovery and inner transformation.
With this thought in mind, the International Yoga Day Celebration delightfully organized by the NSS Wing and Women Empowerment Cell on 21.06.2024 in SSEC Convention Center. It divinely started with Prayer Song followed by Lamp-lit ceremony. Mr. D. Sachinkumar, NSS Coordinator, Assistant Professor, Dept of S&H welcomed the gathering. Dr. G.
