The SSEC Visionary Day - 2K24 celebration at Sree Sakthi Engineering College on 6th November 2024 was a grand occasion to honor our esteemed Correspondent, Dr. S. Karthikeyan, on his birthday. The event, filled with enthusiasm and gratitude, was graced by the esteemed presence of Chairman, Shri. N. Dharmalingam, Secretary, Tmt. K. Punithavalli, Principal, Dr. G. Jayaprakash, CEO, Dr. N. Prasannan, and Dean, Prof. P. Malarvizhi, along with other key dignitaries and members of the Sree Sakthi Group of Companies. The day was filled with numerous events, reflecting the spirit of celebration and recognition of Dr. S. Karthikeyan's visionary leadership.
The celebration began with a special pooja held at the temple, offering prayers for the continued success of the college and the well-being of its community. Food was also offered to the needy, reinforcing the values of compassion and service, which have been central to Dr. Karthikeyan's vision for the institution. The program continued with a special prayer song, which set a positive and harmonious tone for the day's celebrations. This was followed by a welcome address by Dr. G. Jayaprakash, who spoke about the significance of the occasion and the invaluable contributions of Dr. Karthikeyan in shaping the institution. A joyous cake-cutting ceremony followed, where all gathered to celebrate Dr. Karthikeyan’s birthday and express their heartfelt appreciation for his leadership and dedication. The event moved on to the honoring of the Correspondent, where Dr. Karthikeyan was felicitated by the Principal, Dr. G. Jayaprakash, CEO, Dr. N. Prasannan, Dean, Prof. P. Malarvizhi, and Heads of Departments (HoDs), who presented him with tokens of appreciation for his extraordinary service to the institution.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the signing of MoUs with 11 leading industries, aimed at fostering stronger academic-industry collaboration and enhancing student opportunities. This step is in line with Dr. Karthikeyan's vision of preparing students for the professional world. Additionally, the ISTE Professional Body was inaugurated to further support students’ career development and growth, offering them valuable resources and networking opportunities. Following this, Visionary Awards were presented to individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields, inspiring others to achieve greater heights. The celebration also recognized academic excellence, with the Top 3 First-Year Students being awarded for their outstanding performance, setting an example of dedication and hard work for their peers. A significant milestone in the day's events was the inauguration of the online admission portal by the Correspondent, marking a new chapter in the college's admission process and making it more accessible to prospective students. Following this, a video tribute was presented to Dr. S. Karthikeyan, showcasing his journey, vision, and the profound impact he has had on the college and its community. The video highlighted the respect and admiration the entire institution has for him and his leadership.
The celebrations continued with a lively karaoke musical performance, where students showcased their talent, adding an element of fun and entertainment to the event. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. P. Malarvizhi, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the celebration. The proceedings were brought to a dignified close with the National Anthem, symbolizing unity and respect for the institution and its leadership.
