The Founder’s Day celebration 2K24 at Sree Sakthi Engineering College was held on 23rd October 2024 to honor the 77th birthday of our esteemed Chairman, Shri. N. Dharmalingam. The event took place in the gracious presence of dignitaries, including the distinguished Correspondent, Dr. S. Karthikeyan; the respected Principal, Dr. G. Jayaprakash; the renowned CEO, Dr. N. Prasannan; the beloved Dean, Prof. P. Malarvizhi; and other key figures from the Sree Sakthi group of companies. The celebration was marked by a variety of thoughtfully planned events, creating a joyful and heartfelt atmosphere to honor the visionary leader who laid the foundation for the institution and its community.
The day commenced with a special prayer at the temple, seeking blessings for the Chairman's continued good health and success. Following this, a tree plantation drive was launched, setting the stage for the planting of 1,000 trees with the active support of the college's student clubs. This eco-friendly initiative served as a tribute to the Chairman's deep commitment to sustainability and growth, symbolizing the long-lasting impact of his vision for future generations. In recognition of his birthday, a blood donation drive was organized in association with KG Hospital. The aim was to donate 77 units of blood, reflecting the Chairman's lifelong dedication to the well-being of society. Additionally, food was offered to those in need, embodying the spirit of kindness and compassion that the Chairman has always encouraged within the college community and beyond.
The formal event began with a prayer song, followed by a welcome address by the Dean, Prof. P. Malarvizhi. The celebration continued with a cake-cutting ceremony, marking a moment of shared joy and appreciation for Chairman Shri. N. Dharmalingam’s 77th birthday. Following this, the Chairman was formally honored by representatives from the Sree Sakthi group of companies, along with the Principal, CEO, Dean, and Heads of Departments of SSEC. One of the most significant moments of the event was the presentation of the Founder’s Trophy, which was awarded to the winner of a special football competition. A video tribute was showcased, highlighting the Chairman’s remarkable journey, vision, and the profound impact he has had on the college and its community. Cultural performances, including a dance performance, followed, adding an artistic flair to the celebrations. This was followed by a lively "Pattimandram" (debate), which further enriched the event with lively discussions and intellectual engagement.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Pauline Jothi Kiruba, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The proceedings ended with the National Anthem, symbolizing unity, respect, and gratitude for the leadership and vision that have shaped Sree Sakthi Engineering College into what it is today.
