SSEC Pongal Celebration 2025
The SSEC Pongal Celebration 2025, held on 11th January 2025, was a vibrant and culturally rich event that began with the sacred preparation of Pongal, led by the faculty members. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including our respected Chairman, Shri N. Dharmalingam; visionary Correspondent, Dr. S. Karthikeyan; beloved Secretary, K. Punithavalli; distinguished Principal, Dr. G. Jayaprakash; proactive Joint Correspondent, K. Akileswaran; dynamic Joint Secretary, Ms. V. Vidhya; renowned CEO, Dr. N. Prasannan; and esteemed Dean, Prof. P. Malarvizhi. All the dignitaries and attendees were dressed in traditional attire, adding to the festive atmosphere and highlighting the cultural significance of the occasion.
Meanwhile, as the sacred preparation of Pongal continued, the celebration transitioned into a series of exciting traditional games for both students and faculty members. The games included Uriyadithal (pot breaking), Nondi (traditional running game), Kolam design competition, Maa Vilaku competition, Musical Chair, Tug of War, and Lemon and Spoon Race. These activities not only celebrated the cultural heritage of Pongal but also fostered a sense of community and friendly competition. The winners of each game were awarded prizes, creating an atmosphere of joy and excitement.
In addition to the games, the management took the opportunity to honor the sponsors of the India Marathon for their invaluable contribution to the success of the event. Their support played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the celebration. The event concluded with a prayer session, followed by the distribution of Pongal, symbolizing prosperity, unity, and good fortune. The celebration was a grand success, with everyone coming together in traditional attire, fostering a strong sense of unity and cultural pride, making the Pongal celebration on 11th January 2025 a memorable and cherished occasion for all.
