On Saturday, 15th March 2025, an Orientation Program on "NAAC Reforms - Binary Accreditation System" was conducted for the faculty and administrative staff of our institution. The session was led by Dr. N. Muthumani, Principal of PPG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, and an expert in accreditation processes. The program aimed to familiarize participants with the latest NAAC reforms and their impact on institutional assessment and accreditation.

Dr. Muthumani highlighted key aspects of the Binary Accreditation System, emphasizing the importance of an outcome-based curriculum, stakeholder involvement in curriculum development, and the need for flexibility and relevance in academic programs. She stressed the significance of practical learning, industry exposure, and skill-oriented education, ensuring students are well-prepared for real-world challenges. The discussion also covered the integration of traditional knowledge systems, the adoption of online and blended learning models, and the necessity of regular curriculum revision to meet evolving educational and industry standards. Furthermore, she underscored the importance of maintaining an optimal faculty-student ratio and incorporating diverse teaching-learning methods such as collaborative learning, self-study, technology-driven education, and project-based learning to enhance student engagement and academic success.

The session was highly interactive, featuring discussions, real-life case studies, and practical applications of the new accreditation framework. Faculty and staff actively participated in a feedback session, clarifying doubts and exploring strategies for implementing these reforms within the institution. The program provided valuable insights, equipping participants with the necessary knowledge to align with NAAC’s evolving standards and enhance the overall quality of education.
